On Tuesday the 17th of September, members of Made in Yorkshire visited Compressed Air Specialists Pennine Pneumatic Services (PPS) Ltd in West Yorkshire to hear about their best practices during a networking breakfast.

Pennine Pneumatic Services, which was established back in 1991, currently employs over 50 staff and goes beyond being more than just a compressed air supplier, PPS are market-leading providers of designs, supplies, installation and service.

Based out of the Brighouse area of West Yorkshire, the company is an Atlas Copco premier distributor with Carbon Trust accreditation. Their business aim is to reduce a companies cost and environmental impact via energy audits, plus provide friendly assistance in the form of 24/7 breakdown cover and service support.

Guests were welcomed from 8 am with a selection of fresh tea, coffee and pastries before the first networking session took place. From 8:30 am, the great ice-breaker that is the sixty-second pitch from all attendees took place. This allowed them to showcase their company, offering other members the ability to highlight areas of collaboration.

During the presentation given nye PPS Ltd, four areas of focus were highlighted on, including:

  • Adding manufacturing capabilities
  • Diversifying the services on offer
  • The importance of staff engagement for a growing workforce
  • How they keep their focus on offering energy-efficient solutions
