Made in Yorkshire has reinforced its strong growth with the promotion of a key member of staff.
In recognition of his role in expanding the manufacturing network, former Regional Membership Manager Alex Robinson has been appointed Business Development Director.
Jason Pitt, CEO, Made in Group, said: “I am delighted to announce the promotion of Alex. He has been instrumental in helping to underpin the strong growth experienced by Made in Yorkshire during the past 12 months.
“He has quickly developed trusted relationships with both new and existing members and his effectiveness in growing the network was never better illustrated than during this year’s Made in Yorkshire Expo when he signed up a record four new members.
“As we look to expand the Made in Yorkshire network still further his attributes will be invaluable in helping to achieve our goals. I wish him all the best in his new role.”
Alex possesses a strong working knowledge of the Yorkshire manufacturing sector and understands the needs of companies working in the industry.
Prior to joining Made in Yorkshire he honed his knowledge of the manufacturing industry during a four-year stint with The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, latterly as Supply Chain Development Manager.
He said: “I am delighted to be appointed to the role of Business Development Director and I look forward to working with more companies across Yorkshire as we look to unite the region’s manufacturing community.
“This is a very exciting time for Yorkshire and for Made in Yorkshire in particular as we look to establish the network as the leading industry support organisation in the region.
“As we stand on the threshold of a new era it is more important than ever that the voice of manufacturing is recognised and through Made in Yorkshire - and with the support of our members - we aim to ensure that it is.”
